Covering the gadgets will prevent splashes of waves that can damage the devices.
3. You may also use towels or any dry clothing for protection from splashes of water during navigation. Make sure that all electronic devices are placed and stored in a dry and warm place. You may also use lighting to keep the equipment dry and warm.
4. You may apply spray lubricants on the electronic devices to keep them clean. However, it is advisable that you consult your boat electronic provider on what type of lubricants you should use.
5. Always keep your electronic gadgets away from the alternators of the boat. The noise interference can affect the functionality of the radio equipment, loran equipment, and other electronic accessories. Try to install an alternator filter to balance and lessen the interfering noise produced by the alternators.
